Trust is an essential value to have in any system or branch of government – but such is perhaps most imperative in the political institution of the law enforcement. Especially in the context of the democratic country of the Philippine State, public trust in government bodies such as the police is an important tool that can serve as a means for the State to improve its relationship with its constituents and encourage cooperation from the citizenry. This quantitative study entitled: An Examination of Youth Perceptions: A Comparative Study on the Level of Trust between the Generation Z and Millennials of Barangay Concepcion Uno and Concepcion Dos, Marikina City towards the Philippine National Police attempts to evaluate the current perceptions of the people and their trust rating towards their local police using the four core principles of the Procedural Justice Model and compare the two demographic’s trust rating towards their law enforcers. To make this possible, the researcher collected responses via survey questionnaires and interpreted the data through finding the mean average trust rating and through a T-test comparison. The findings concluded that the Generation Z and Millennials have a moderate trust rating towards the Philippine National Police and their level of trust are not significantly different.
